She may be a grandmother, but don’t call her old.
Ernestine Shepherd, 74, of Baltimore has been crowned by the Guinness Book of World Records as the oldest competitive female bodybuilder ever.
She told the Washington Post: ‘Age is nothing but a number’.
Ms Shepherd has impeccably toned ‘six-pack’ abs that are the marvel of her Baltimore fitness centre.
Her husband of 54 years, Collin Shepherd, says he ‘has trouble keeping guys away from her’.
The Shepherds live in Baltimore with their son, 53, and grandson, 14.
Ms Shepherd does some modelling and teaches fitness classes, and told the Washington Post, ‘If you are going to try to motivate people, you have to live that part’.
She also trains rigorously with Yohnnie Shambourger, 57,a former Mr Universe who won the gold medal in bodybuilding at the Pan American Games in 1995.
Mr Shambourger told the Post: ‘The six-pack is her signature. When she walks in a room and you see her six-pack, you say, “Ohh! Okay!”
‘You are a champion’, he told Ms Shepherd during a gruelling session. ‘I will train you like what you are’.

Here are my Motivation Jars! These have started popping up all over. I loved the idea so much I had to make them. I bought the jars, stones and ribbon at Dollar Tree and the stickers at Walmart. All in all, I spent $15 (the letter stickers were to most, $3 each). I got them all done while my super yummy turkey burger was cooking! I can’t wait to move some more stones into my Lost jar this Sunday!!

Primeiro dia de academia, fiz bicicleta durante 12 minutos. O instrutor colocou no nível 06, na segunda rodada de pedais já estava morrendo um pouco, diminui até o nível 05, acabou que no final estava no nível 02 no programa de perda de peso, um minuto pesado e um minutos mais leve.
Observando meu sofrimento o instrutor sugeriu que eu fosse pra esteira, muito mais fácil, fiz 30 minutos no total de aeróbicos e depois a série de musculação 3 x de 15 repetições, e nada de esteira depois.
Dei uma belíssima alongada e a unica coisa que dói são os “‘ombros”, (a banha da axila).
Comecei o processo de emagrecer no dia 20 de outubro (96 kg), a última pesagem que eu fiz foi no dia 01 de janeiro de 2012, com 85, emagreci 11 kg. Já senti uma diferença absurda, fisicamente e mentalmente.
Emagrecer é ótimo!

Hoje foi mais fácil, o almoço foi atrasado pras 15 horas, preciso começar a almoçar antes de malhar, mas acho que pode dar probleminhas, ou almoço as 11h ou vou malhar as 10h30.
